Prerequisites:
- Splunk 6.5.x (Not tested but it should run on previous versions.)
- Huawei router E5186
Description:
The app is using a Python script to collect data through the router's REST API.
Configuration:
You have to provide your router's homepage URL in the file $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps/huaweilte/bin/huaweilte.conf
The file already contains the default URL, i.e. http://192.168.8.1/
Usage:
The app adds one index (huaweilte) and 3 script inputs running every 10 seconds.
It collects status, signal and traffic data.
Dashboards:
There are 3 dashboards:
- LTE signal: provides information about the signal strength which may help you to find the best location for the router or the antennas.
- Traffic: provides information about the downloaded data volume
- Status: indicates the router's uptime
